Due diligence
Before you sign a contract, take on a partner or acquire a business, you need to know who you're actually dealing with. We verify identities, check business histories, confirm directorships and look for red flags that don't appear in a company's pitch deck.
- Director and beneficial ownership verification
- Company registration and financial history
- Litigation and judgment checks
- Regulatory compliance checks
- Reputational intelligence from open and closed sources
- Supplier and vendor verification
Employee background screening
Every hire is a risk. The higher the position or the more sensitive the access, the bigger that risk becomes. We screen candidates before you make an offer, and we screen existing employees when something doesn't add up.
- Criminal record checks
- Credit and ITC history
- Qualification verification
- Previous employment confirmation
- Reference verification
- Social media and online conduct review
Internal fraud investigation
If you suspect an employee is stealing from the business, falsifying records, running a competing operation or leaking confidential information, we investigate discreetly. We gather evidence that can be used in disciplinary proceedings, civil action or criminal complaints to SAPS.
- Asset misappropriation and theft
- Procurement fraud and kickbacks
- Ghost employee and payroll fraud
- Intellectual property theft
- Conflict of interest investigations
Integrity testing
We conduct controlled integrity tests to identify employees who are susceptible to bribery, theft or dishonesty. This is particularly relevant for businesses that handle cash, stock, sensitive data or have employees in positions of significant financial authority. Testing is conducted covertly and legally.
Competitive intelligence
Understanding what your competitors are doing is a normal part of running a business. We gather intelligence from legal, open sources: public records, industry channels, tender databases and published information. We don't conduct illegal interception or engage in corporate espionage.
Threat assessment
If your business has received threats, is involved in high-value litigation, or operates in an industry with elevated risk, we conduct a threat assessment. This identifies where your vulnerabilities are and what actions can reduce your exposure. Output is a written report with prioritised recommendations.
